Manifestation : Episode One

"I believe the universe wants to be noticed. I think the universe is improbably biased toward consciousness, that it rewards intelligence in part because the universe enjoys its elegance being observed." - John Green(In The Fault in our stars)

For starters,
In spiritual terms, manifestation means bringing your thoughts into reality. Its like paving way for something to appear.
Spiritual people believe they can manifest their goals  by using their thoughts and energy. They believe majority of things that are happening to us right now have been manifested by us into our lives. We have brought them into our life. Till now, it happened unconsciously. Wouldn't it be nice to consciously manifest things, people and energy into your life?
I am a believer. I believe in the power of manifestation. I believe that I am a part of something big and that the universe listens. I believe in the existence of a power bigger than us.
And how could I not? I have successfully manifested many things in my life and I cannot refrain from acknowledging them.

To a dreamer in a small town in India, Mumbai feels like the city where they can fulfill their dreams. I wasn't different. I was studying in a town in Odisha till my 10th grade board exams. Fortunately for me, Mumbai wasn't just a foreign land of dreams, I had lived in Mumbai and was very accustomed to its lifestyle. Every year, for a month in summers, I would come to Mumbai to stay at my grand parent's, and that made me love the city and yearning to live in it more. The fact that my parents had enjoyed their youth in Mumbai made me want to do the same.
When I was in 8th grade, I saw this college name "Narsee Monjee" and its logo on a relative's facebook profile and it looked like Hogwarts to my untrained mind. Something in me said that I want to study in this college only. I googled minimum required percentage to get in it and I found an article mentioning 94%. I didn't research courses in the college or activities there. That day I had decided to study in NM in Mumbai and then got on with life. That thought was not taking constant harbour in my mind. My mother wanted me to study in kolkata and pursue chartered accountancy. I knew I didn't want either. To be honest, I didn't know anything about the course and I took an ill-informed decision on the course, but I just felt that I don't want to be a CA and I don't have anything against Kolkata but staying there somehow felt like cutting my wings short, you know.
It felt like I won't be able to spread my wings, be free. Mumbai felt like the place to be. I have always been fascinated by college life depicted in movies and soap operas and I knew I would find that in Mumbai. The day my mother sat me down to talk about CA and Kolkata in 8th grade, I was disheartened. She said we couldn't afford  my study in Mumbai. Maybe I should have looked up college loan procedures or college and lifestyle expenses in Mumbai but I didn't. I was almost gonna accept it but my father had different opinion on the whole situation. He told me that I don't have to study something I don't want to. We will figure out a unique course for me and he asked me to dream. He said,"It is not your job to worry how it is going to happen. Dream of studying in Mumbai and you will. You have more than 2 years to dream and make it happen."
And I dreamt. Never since that day did I doubt this thought. I believed that I will come to Mumbai. I would visualize myself walking along the corridors of college, hanging out with friends after college , in Mumbai. Infact these visualizations were my source of joy at times when school felt over bearing. When studies felt frightening, this dream fueled me to carry on . I only thought that I am completing my degree in Mumbai and didn't worry about how my parents would  make it happen. And honestly while I was in 10th, its not like suddenly my parents felt that they can afford studies in Mumbai. But it happened guys! After topping my school in 10th ICSE , I came to study in Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai. After my exams , everyone was confident that I would score above 95% and while they were considering options for my studies, one of my mother's friend(who stays in Mumbai) called and talked about me. He told her about education and fee structure here and after that, she could entertain the thought of sending me to Mumbai. In the few months to the ICSE board result,my stay in Mumbai was arranged and we were talking about Narsee Monjee.
I am so grateful to my father to have asked me to dream,my mother for supporting me  and my maternal grand parents for taking me in, in Mumbai.

Now in retrospect, it feels like I manifested this for myself. I asked for this, believed in it and made it happen. I really didn't take any physical tangible effort to make my stay in Mumbai possible. For 30 months, I just dreamt and believed in it. My thoughts were making way for themselves and when the time was right, they appeared. When I look back, I don't understand how it even happened. I just know that it did.
This is how universe works. It does the imaginable. If you can imagine it, you can receive it. If you start getting into reasoning and understanding, you might lose your way. We just need to have faith in what we want and do what we can and let the universe worry about the how.

I have also manifested love into my life. Although I didn't realize it when I received it. Now after losing it, when I found some time to acknowledge things and gained a perspective, I realized that  I had manifested this love into my life and I subconsciously manifested its disappearance. Manifestation of my love is a story for another day.
My friends, I want to ask you to manifest

How to manifest?
Dream.
Gain clarity on what you want.
Ask for it.
Believe that you will receive it.
Meditate on its manifestation. In your meditation, visualize yourself receiving what you have asked for.
Visualize yourself living your dream. Meditation is must.
Don't lose faith.
Receive it.

I will be happy to hear from you lovelies and help in any way I can!
If you have manifested something in your life, share with me!
Happy manifestation :)
